How do I audition for Colorguard?
Show up on Wednesday(May 10th) and Thursday(May 11th) at 5:00pm in the Lake Highlands High School Band Hall. Come in athletic clothes. We will give you a flag to start learning and we will show you the routine. It's that easy, show up and be open to learning. The actual audition in on Friday(May 12th). We will post audition results that night.
Can I bring a friend? Absolutely, If your friend is going to attend Lake Highlands High School in the 23-24 school year, bring them with you. This audition is open to any student attending LHHS.
Do you like to perform?
Have you ever been in a play? Have you ever been in a choir? Have you ever danced at church?
Awesome, you will probably love colorguard. We perform at all LHHS football games. We also compete in marching band contest around the metroplex. The colorguard has even traveled to San Antonio/Houston to compete.
I don't know how to spin, dance, or perform? That's alright, we will give you all the tools you will need to be successful.
Want to make new friends?
Colorguard members are very welcoming to our new members. You will gain new friends within hours of joining colorguard. Many of our members started out not knowing anyone in colorguard, now some of them are best friends. You will make long life friends that you also get to perform with at football games.

I'm scared!
Every member of the colorguard was scared when they first started. After a couple of minutes you will realize that everyone at the audition wants you to succeed. The colorguard cheers for each other while we are practicing and learning. You will love it if you give colorguard a chance. You can always bring a friend with you to audition to help get over your fears.
